Clergy moves

  • The Cathedral welcomed two new Clerical Canons: John Tongue of Holy Trinity, Hobart and David Rietveld of BayWest, and one Lay Canon, Shelagh Shaw of the Cathedral Parish. David Lewis has served as a Cathedral Canon for many years and was appointed as a Diocesan Canon with special responsibility in the area of the Defence Force.
  • Mission Support Officers Bob McKay (Northern Rural Region) and Ross Nicholson (Tamar Region) have been collated as Archdeacons at St John's, Launceston.
  • Kingston and Bellerive are seeking Rectors and the Cathedral seeks a Dean - please keep these parishes in your prayers.
  • Wendy Knott and Rosemary Perrott-Russell, honorary priests in the Parish of Franklin-Esperance have concluded their ministries after dedicated service in this large parish.
  • Rick Cartledge from St Mark's on the Hill, Launceston, has announced his retirement from 28 February 2006
